Ich habe mir das im Manga-Format gelieferte "Moe Manifesto" vor wenigen Tagen ohne große Erwartungen bestellt und war daraufhin zunächst positiv überrascht. Galbraith beginnt mit einer wirklich interessanten Einleitung, die einige Informationen zu den Anfängen und der Entwicklung des "Moe"-Kults vermittelt. Etwas blöd nur, dass er schon nach etwa einem Viertel des knapp 200-seitigen Buches dazu übergeht, nur noch (!) die geführten Interviews abzudrucken, ohne dabei je eine Art Fazit aus selbigen zu ziehen. Das hat mich persönlich ein wenig enttäuscht, denn obwohl die Gespräche großteils durchaus interessant sind, hätte ich mir doch eine Auswertung des selbsternannten Insiders gewünscht. Ansonsten gibt es keine Beanstandungen, denn der Rest ist wie beschrieben - farbige Abbildungen dessen, worum es im jeweiligen Abschnitt gerade geht und interessante Interview-Partner aus diversen Berufsfeldern (Professoren, Synchronsprecher, und so weiter). Wer dazu bereit ist, seine eigenen Schlüsse aus den zur Verfügung gestellen Informationen zu ziehen, der kann bedenkenlos zugreifen.
